Macro vs. Micro evolution.
Test review sheet was handed-out today. Link below! Please print and begin studying!! Your test for Evolution will be on March 4th!!
We took notes on the difference between micro and macro evolution. Attached is a picture of my notes/ diagrams. We finished class today with a video about the Cambrian Explosion! This will get us ready for looking into cladistics and taxonomy next week.
Have a great weekend!

Phone Evolution- Today in class we observed the evolution of phones. This is a relatable subject to frame the concept of cladistics.
In the image below: Make observations about all the phones. Make a list of their "adaptations" and what they might need to be better suited for their "environment".
Example: a cordless phone -not shown-- (finding a physical cordless phone is harder than you might expect!)-- use your imagination
Adaptations: No cord you can move around the house while talking. It has an antenna that is extendable so that when you get further away from the receiver you can still use it. Flat shape and fits well when pressed between a human head and shoulder. Caller ID so you can screen calls!
Improvements: The antenna can get bent. If the antenna is more sturdy or internal that will alleviate that problem. It would be nice to be able to be more mobile. If you could answer the phone while getting the mail, that'd be awesome!
Homework for TOMORROW March, 1:
If you missed today's class you will still need to do the homework. Please go to
